The Allied Arts Society of Cardston is pleased to offer Performing Arts Scholarships to assist families and students in pursuing and developing talents in the area of preforming arts.  The purposes of these scholarships are to enhance not only individuals' lives but the community as a whole by encouraging involvement in the arts.


Students must reside in Cardston area.  Consideration given to students who show initiative, drive, and desire to improve their performing arts talent through workshops, camps, competitions and festivals.  Areas of performing arts include playing of a musical instrument, drama, dance, vocal, choir, etc.  Only one application per person per annum will be accepted.  You may not apply for more than one performing art medium per application period.  Applicant must be 18 years of age or younger by the deadline date.


Application deadlines are May 1st and November 1st of each calendar year.  Scholarships apply to activities taking place after the deadline date of May 1st or November 1st .  Applications received by email are preferred but may be mailed if needed, the address can be found on the application.  If mailed,  the application must be postmarked by the deadline date. The Allied Arts Society Board will review all applications and make their selections by the first week of June and the first week of December for each corresponding year.  Only successful applicants will be notified through letter or e-mail of their application status.

Conditions of Acceptance

As a condition of your scholarship approval you will be required to:

  1. send us a picture of the event
  2. write a brief paragraph explaining how you benefited from your experience
  3. submit these items by e-mail within two weeks of your participation.
